JD's Sunshine Jams and Such is a home based business from Sooke, B.C. For over thirty years Janice followed and supported her husband, Danny, around Saskatchewan and British Columbia serving in the RCMP. Now that Danny has retired, it is his turn to follow and support Janice in the local markets. Janice creates traditional and unique preserves and flavored vinegars. Many items produced from our own gardens in Sooke. We grow strawberries,raspberries, blueberries, haskap berries, tomatoes, hot peppers, beets,peas, beans, carrots, lettuce, cucumbers, asparagus, rhubarb, zucchini, and herbs. The market booth consists of an essential tasting station, as many of the products are Janice's creations. June 2014, our son was working for a chef in downtown Victoria who wanted some homemade jams to enhance his High Tea and out shine the competition. James introduced his mom who took him some jams,which he loved. He was so impressed he offered us a place in Artisan's Lane for free. We started with eight jams and two vinegars. Now we have developed over 130 products. We market ninety at the markets. We have learned much in the pastf ew years. We cater to many dietary needs.
